Street Fighter Metal Diecast Action Figures
This month, I finally completed my collection of the 12 Street Fighter Metal Diecast Action Figures by Jada Toys. These little figures feature all the playable characters from one of the most iconic fighting games of all time, Street Fighter 2. I originally stumbled across these at Half Price Books, where I picked up Dhalsim, Ryu, and Sagat. However, only having a few figures was killing me, so I spent this past month making some eBay purchases to complete the set. This month, I added M. Bison, Vega, Balrog, Zangief, and E. Honda. The shiny paint on these figures really pops, and they look great on any shelf. I love how they remind me of toys from the 1950s due to their weight, lack of mobility, and somewhat rough paint job. It all adds to their charm! Even better, if you only want one or two, they’re fairly cheap online.
Speaking of Street Fighter, I’m pumped for some of the upcoming Capcom fighting collections dropping later this year and in early 2025. First up is the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection, featuring timeless classics like Marvel vs. Capcom 2. I can’t wait to recreate some of my favorite lineups, like Spider-Man, Ryu, and Dr. Doom. Then in 2025 there is the Capcom Fighting Collection 2 which not only has one of my favorites from the series, Street Fighter Alpha 3, it also includes some games I have not had the privilege of playing like Capcom vs SNK! Cross-overs in fighting games are so much fun and I’ll definitely grab the physical copies of these when they drop.
Even though I’m terrible at most of the Street Fighter games, landing a long combo or scrapping out a win is addicting…almost as addicting as finding figures like these on eBay.
