Galoob’s All-Star MVPs: 1997 Los Angeles Lakers Mini Figures

Yet again, another great set of these Galoob figurines. These little guys never cease to disappoint. This time we have a vibrant set of the 1997 Los Angeles Lakers, including a rookie Kobe Bryant! I've always wondered what the very first Kobe figure released was. I’m thinking it’s gotta be this Galoob figure here, or possibly the 1996 edition Starting Lineup (which now can cost an arm and a leg in the box). Well, regardless, this is one of the phirst Kobe Bryant figures ever made! The only downside is that there is no Shaquille O’Neal to accompany him, which I’m assuming they couldn’t get the rights.

Despite there not being a Shaq in this set, we’ve got some other 90s Lakers Favs. This set also includes:

Byron Scott #4, Nick Van Exel #9, Eddie Jones #6, and Robert Horry #5. 

Solid lineup!
