Ridge Racer V (PS2) + Oscar Robinson Starting Lineup

I was able to check out the awesome Illinois Vintage Fest at the Lake County fairgrounds this month. It was a cool mix of vintage clothes, jewelry, random toys, and even some video games. There were so many kick-ass 90s and early 00s vintage apparel. I could have really easily burned through my bank account. I showed some restraint and only got a couple of vintage shirts, though. It was a phun time, and I even saw a dude that looked just like me. Yeah, I know what you’re thinking,“aren’t half the people who goes to gatherings like this white guys in their mid 20s with a middle part hair style”? Yeah, pretty much…

Anyways, I was able to phind some cool things!

Arguably the best pickup from the event, I stumbled across a Cincinnati Royals, Oscar Robertson Starting Lineup. This was actually the only NBA Staring lineup I was able to spot. Despite it being the only one there, it’s a sweet addition to the collection. Mainly because it’s of a team that is no longer in existence (sorry Cincinnati Royals fans). Adam Silver has teased that perhaps we’ll be getting expansion teams pretty soon. Most likely Vegas, Seattle and potentially Mexico City. Maybe one day we’ll see Cincinnati get another club one of these days. Probably not though (Sorry again Cincinnati). Well, if it never does happen, there’s a dope Oscar Robinson figure you can purchase of eBay to keep the legacy alive!

The second pickup was Ridge Racer V for PS2. I’m working on getting a complete collection of all Ridge Racer games. I’m still out on the hunt for the 3DS, DS, Xbox, and GameCube. Turns out there’s a lot more than I thought…I’ll keep y’all posted if I complete this Ridge Racer collection!
