Madlib used an iPad to create all of the beats for the album Bandana!
That’s right. One of the game’s most highly regarded beatmakers is making bangers on an iPad! While we aren’t sure 100% which program he used on his iPad, whatever he used sure produced some heat for Freddie Gibbs to rap over.

Many producers suffer from G.A.S. (gear acquisition syndrome). This is when they get caught up in the continuous cycle of purchasing the latest samplers, synths, and tech. G.A.S has become a problematic issue for many producers and beatmakers out there because they spend more time learning how to use the latest gear they purchased, rather than spending time making actually beats (I may be guilty of this -Luke). It’s important to remember that you can make dope shit on anything, even an iPad! Sometimes, the simpler the workstation, the better.
